Adam Thorpe is a Managing Director at Grant Thornton Stax’s London office, where he leads the firm’s EMEA Healthcare vertical. With 30 years of professional experience, including 25 years in strategy across the UK and France, Adam has spent the last two decades specializing in the healthcare and care sectors.
Throughout his career, Adam has successfully led more than 500 projects across the UK, France, Europe, and Africa. He excels in guiding clients on deals and growth initiatives, including commercial due diligence and value creation across the deal cycle, as well as conducting market entry studies, and designing strategic initiatives to accelerate growth and enhance performance.
Adam’s expertise spans health, care, and life sciences, where he has worked across various care types (including home, aged, child, and specialist), and diverse segments such as mental health, neurodiversity, diagnostics, education, medical devices, CDMO, and pharma.
Before joining Grant Thornton Stax, Adam established and led KPMG’s French strategy group practice from 2000 to 2015. He later returned to KPMG UK to head deal strategy in healthcare before departing the firm in 2024. Following a brief tenure with a specialist health and life sciences strategy boutique, Adam joined Grant Thornton Stax to leverage his extensive expertise and drive impactful client solutions in the healthcare space.
Adam is a UK-chartered accountant and holds a BA, MBA, and MBS.
Extracurricular
A dad of three, Adam is always chasing the sunshine or sneaking off to the French countryside. In his spare time, he’s likely enduring the heartbreak of supporting a hopeless football team and doing his best to keep his tennis game alive.
