About

Brad Kuntz is a Senior Managing Director at Grant Thornton Stax, where he leads the New York office and focuses on large-cap private equity and the Industrial vertical.

With over 25 years of experience in strategy consulting and investment management, Brad is a recognized leader in driving strategic growth and innovation. He has a proven track record of scaling consulting operations and leading high-growth practices across professional services, private equity, and industrial sectors. Specializing in advising private equity clients, Brad brings deep expertise in strategy and commercial due diligence, helping firms navigate complex investment decisions and driving value creation.

Before joining Grant Thornton Stax, Brad founded New Amsterdam Capital Group, specializing in dividend arbitrage strategies that achieved market-leading returns. His approach leveraged derivatives to hedge market movements while systematically capturing dividends within the S&P 500, delivering consistent, risk-adjusted performance.

Prior to New Amsterdam Capital, Brad held a series of senior leadership roles at EY and EY-Parthenon, where he played a key role in shaping the firm’s strategy and growth. As Partner and America’s Innovation Leader for EY’s Transactions Advisory Services practice, he led the development and commercialization of new solutions while also serving as the lead EY partner for the firm’s relationship with a top 10 private equity firm.

Earlier at EY-Parthenon, Brad was Senior Managing Director and Executive Committee member, where he oversaw the global Industrials practice and managed the New York City office. Prior to that, he led EY-Parthenon’s global strategy consulting practice, expanding it to 170 consultants and partners while spearheading significant scaling initiatives. As part of this growth strategy, Brad identified and co-led the integration of Parthenon Group into EY, solidifying EY-Parthenon’s position in the market.

Early in his career, Brad served as President of a privately held telecom services company, which he later sold to an investor group implementing a roll-up strategy. He began his professional journey at JPMorgan, participating in their training program in New York City.

Brad holds an BA in Economics and International Relations from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA in Strategy and Finance from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Extracurricular

Brad has a serious case of wanderlust. He loves visiting destinations that are off the beaten path to learn about new places and cultures. On his visits, he is far more likely to visit a local coffee shop where he can spend time people-watching rather than exploring a nearby hiking trail.
