Darren Buskirk is a Director at Stax in our Chicago office, joining Stax in 2023 to support the firm’s Healthcare efforts. He has over 10 years of experience in consulting, where he has focused on serving private equity investors. Darren leads buy-side and sell-side commercial due diligence efforts in addition to advising on business unit and corporate strategy for private and public organizations.

Darren has led more than 100 diligences in the Healthcare sector, with significant experience across providers, HCIT, and services businesses. His portfolio includes physician practice management, behavioral health, and tech-enabled solutions across both payers and providers.

Prior to joining Stax, Darren was most recently at McKinsey & Company supporting its Healthcare private equity practice. Darren started his career in private equity at American Capital. He holds an M.B.A. from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and a B.S. in Finance from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Extracurricular

In his free time, Darren is a big fan of sports—When he isn't rooting for his Philadelphia sports team (Eagles/Phillies), you'll likely find him attending his son's baseball games or cheering at his daughter's soccer games. That, or he's on the fairway playing golf.
