Matt Fish is a Managing Director at Stax in our New York office.
Matt joined Stax in 2023 with over 20 years advising private equity firms and Industrial companies on commercial due diligence and growth strategies, globally. During his career he has led 300+ commercial diligence and sell-side engagements, more than 100 growth strategy engagements, and was Global Head of Commercial Diligence, as well as Industrial practices for multiple firms. Most recently as a Partner and CDD Practice Leader at KPMG US, where he also was the leader of the US-Asia Strategy group.
Prior to KPMG, Matt held a leadership role at OC&C Strategy Consultants where he was the Global Head of the firm’s Industrial Products and Services practice and Parthenon-EY where he led the growth of the firm’s operations in the West Coast region. Previously, Matt founded New Pacific, an emerging markets CDD and growth strategy firm based in Shanghai and focused on Asia, which he grew to 45 people before successfully merging with The Parthenon Group.
His expertise includes Industrial products and Business Services globally, with significant experience partnering with mid-market and upper mid-market PE funds.
Extracurricular
Having spent 20 years constantly traveling the globe, Matt and his wife now spend their free time introducing their two kids to the joys of far-flung travel and culture. While his kids would rather take a tuk-tuk than a taxi, they both agree that nothing beats a New York hot dog!
