Rob Larson is a Director in the Boston office with over 15 years of experience spanning strategy consulting, private equity investing, and operating roles.
At Stax, Rob focuses primarily in healthcare, regularly leading projects across the following:
Prior to Stax, Rob performed strategy consulting at Monitor Group for the private equity (Monitor Clipper Partners), pharmaceutical, biotech and software industries; hospital consulting with the Chartis Group; and private equity consulting at Investor Group Services.
Rob previously worked in the private equity industry as an investment professional for WPA, a PE firm based in Boston with a fund focused on emerging markets, and for Lyceum Capital, a London-based PE firm with a fund focused on business services in the UK.
Rob also has operating experience gained on the corporate strategy team and later as chief of staff to the CEO at ING Direct, the largest online bank in the U.S., and as chief strategy officer and head of product at the Society of Grownups, a financial literacy startup backed by a $35M investment from MassMutual.
Rob has an M.B.A. from The Wharton School and a B.S. in Physics from Brigham Young University.
As a married family man, Rob definitely has his hands full. If he isn’t coaching his youngest daughter’s basketball team or climbing rock walls with his oldest daughter, he’s spending quality time with his son doing what all fathers and sons enjoy— melting aluminum cans and casting them into sculptures with their homemade backyard foundry.
